Edeyo event last night for Haiti

Unik and his wonderful team at Edeyo (see Edeyo.org) threw a great fund-raiser at the new Dream Hotel Downtown where they surpassed your expectations with over $100,000 raised. It was models, celebs, socialites, party people, philanthropists , among others..

Although I was suggested to go classic cocktail, a gut feeling told me that I should go a little more colorful. Besides, it was an event benefiting my Caribbean home, Haiti.

Happy Birthday - to me!!

A special person picked me up and took me to the most unlikely of places - Brooklyn - for what turned out to be an awesome time. Persian Jew, Syrian Jews plus me at Russian restaurant/club = a whole lot of fun!

Nudes and Oranges again

As I wore a few days ago, I'm doing nudes with splash of orange again but this time played with textures. Linen top, silk pants and satin shoes/belt.

Top - bought a while back. Was a dress and I had it made into a top. Taupe.
Pants- Valentino. Blush.
Belt - purchased at a vintage shop
Shoes - BCBG satin cork wedges
Bag - Moyna

First outfit posting - why not?

This is the first time I an doing this but several people made this request and I said, "why not"...
I've been asked to occasionally post my outfits. I don't really take full body pics at events but I'm going to make an effort to remember.

Jacket - Rick Owens
Top - Topshop (the one across from Harrods in London)
Skirt - can't remember. Ive had it for a very long time and never got around to wearing it.
Shoes - Christian Louboutin
Earrings - bought them from a street vender in Istanbul

Not sure if its a trend or not because I do my own thing fashion-wise but I felt the gold added sparkle to the nude monochromatic look. I added a "ting" of bright orange (lips and earrings) to remind myself despite the grey NYC skies, it was still supposed to be summer. lol.
